More sad news

It seems I missed this when it happened, but the First Lady of Trek passed away recently. Majel Barret, the wife of legendary Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, was in every episode of the original Star Trek series. Remember her? No? Seriously? Found a great utility to help in designing your site (or in my case RapidWeaver themes) to line up to a specified baseline grid. Syncotype allows you to overlay a grid on top of your page in a browser window. Uses a bookmarklet to do so. Have a look, here.

I’m sure this is old news to some, but I was in search of a battery widget for my laptop dashboard and stumbled upon this beauty. Works great and is quite stylish to boot.

This is a killer site that lets you assemble space vehicles, launch missions and play around in zero-g. I don’t know how I missed this site, since it appears that it has been up since the Discovery Channel aired their series ‘When We Left Earth.’ I still need to get this on DVD.
